The heaviest weightlifting total for the male 56 kg category is 307 kg (676 lb 13.10 oz), achieved by Long Qingquan (China) at the 2016 Summer Olympics, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on 7 August 2016.Long Qingquan lifted a 137 kg snatch and a 170 kg clean and jerk to claim the gold medal and achieve the record.
