Fastest swim long course 100 metres butterfly (female)

According to Official Guinness Records,

The fastest long course swim in the 100 metres butterfly (female) is 55.48 seconds, achieved by Sarah Sjöström (Sweden) at the 2016 Summer Olympics, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on 7 August 2016.Sjöström became the first ever Swedish female to win a gold medal in an Olympics swimming event.
