Most consecutive years to appear on the Japan single chart

According to Official Guinness Records,

The most consecutive years to appear on the Japan single chart is 30 years and was achieved by Tatsuro Yamashita (Japan) with his single, "Christmas Eve" from 1986 to 2015. Christmas Eve was first released by Warner Music Japan on 14 December 1983. This was a spin off single from the album, "Melodies" and has become very popular by being featured in a TV commercial for JR Tokai in 1988. Since 1986, the single appears within top 100 on the Japan single chart around Christmas season every year.
