Longest distance traveled by a vehicle on a railway track powered by dry cell batteries

According to Official Guinness Records,

The longest distance traveled by a vehicle on a railway track powered by dry cell batteries is 22.615 km (14.05 miles) and was achieved by Panasonic Corporation and Kawagoe Technical High School (both Japan) on Yurikougen Railway Chokaisanroku Line, in Akita, Japan, on 3 November 2015. The train weighs 1,097 kg. There were 600 dry cell batteries powering the vehicle during the attempt. The overall time traveled by the vehicle is 2 hr 36 min. After starting from Maego station, the vehicle traveled 11 km 307.57 m to Yashima station and then from Yashima station returned back to Maego station. During the trip, the vehicle made 3 stops during which passengers could get on and off and when the drivers rotated.
