Highest team score in an ICC World Cup match (male)

According to Official Guinness Records,

Australia posted 417 for 6 off 50 overs in a World Cup pool match against Afghanistan at the Western Australia Cricket Association Ground (aka the WACA) in Perth, Australia, on 4 March 2015.
India were the holders of the previous ICC World Cup record, racking up 413 for 5 in a 257-run defeat of Bermuda (156 all out) at Queen's Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad, on 19 March 2007. Australia's innings was built around 178 off 133 balls (including 19 fours and five sixes) from opener David Warner, with major contributions from Steve Smith (95 off 98 balls) and Glenn Maxwell, who weighed in with 88 off 39 balls (including six fours and seven sixes). The team averaged 8.34 runs per over in 50 overs. Australia's 417 for 6 was the seventh-highest team score in a One-Day International (ODI). Sri Lanka's 443 for 9 against the Netherlands at VRA Ground in Amstelveen, Netherlands, on 4 July 2006 remains the highest ever ODI score. Warner's 178 was the 20th-highest score by a player in ODIs (a list led by Rohit Sharma's 264 for India against Sri Lanka on 13 November 2014) and the fifth-highest in a World Cup match (Chris Gayle's 215 for the West Indies against Zimbabwe in the same tournament, on 24 February 2015, is the highest score at the World Cup). Warner's 100 was the 20th of the 2015 World Cup - the same number of hundreds that were scored in the whole of the 2007 tournament. In 2011, a tournament record 24 hundreds were scored. As of 4 March 2015, three of the four highest World Cup totals in history (i.e., since 1975) had been set at the 2015 tournament, with Australia's 417 for 6 followed by India's 413 for 5 against Bermuda on 19 March 2007, and South Africa's innings totals of 411 for 4 against Ireland on 3 March 2015 and 408 for 5 against the West Indies on 27 February 2015. They are the only four instances of teams scoring 400+ in a World Cup match. Andrew Samson, statistician, BBC Test Match Special: "Up until 11 March 2006, there were no ODI totals over 400 (2,348 matches). In nine years (1,275 matches) since then there have now been 15." Match summary (Pool A): Australia (417 for 6) beat Afghanistan (142 all out) by 275 runs - the largest margin of victory (by runs) in a World Cup match and the second-largest victory in ODI history (after New Zealand's 290-run win against Ireland on 1 July 2008).
