According to Official Guinness Records,

The fastest short-track speed skating 1,500 metres by a male athlete is 2 minutes 07.943 seconds by Sjinkie Knegt (Netherlands) at the ISU Short Track Speed Skating World Cup event at the Utah Olympic Oval in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA on 13 November 2016. Five world records were broken in two days at the remarkably quick meet in Utah.
