The oldest person to release a new album is Dame Vera Lynn (UK, b. Vera Welch, 20 March 1917), whose compilation album National Treasure - The Ultimate Collection was released on 2 June 2014, when the singer was 97 years 74 days old.National Treasure - The Ultimate Collection debuted and peaked at No.13 on the UK's Official Albums Chart on 14 June 2014. Prior to that, Lynn' s compilation album Unforgettable, had been released on 30 May 2010, when the singer was 93 years 71 days old.
