The farthest distance climbed on a ladder in 8 hours by a team of ten is 42.88 km (26.64 mi) and was achieved by members of Kent Fire & Rescue Service (UK) in Ashford, Kent, UK, on 24 May 2014. The participants included Michael Pitney, Jason Hills, Sam Ripley, Westley Law, Steve Burwell, Sid Castle, Rob Breen, Rob Hammerton, Nathan Pavey, and Adam Eastwood (all UK).
