As of 30 April 2016, US rapper Lil Wayne (b. Dwayne Carter Jr) had placed 129 different songs on the Billboard Hot 100 since the first chart was published on 4 August 1958. His chart debut was "Back that Thang Up" (1999), a collaboration with fellow rappers Juvenile and Mannie Fresh. The Louisiana native's 129th entry, "Gotta Lotta", a collaboration with 2 Chainz, debuted at No.100 on the chart dated 26 March 2016. In total, "Weezy" has appeared on the Hot 100 as a lead artist 46 times, with 83 appearances as a featured artist. This record includes both of Lil Wayne's 2016 Hot 100 entries (as of 30 April), i.e., his 128th and 129th chart entries: "Bottom of the Bottle" by Curren$Y feat. August Alsina & Lil Wayne, which debuted at No.97 on 13 Feb 2016, and "Gotta Lotta", which debuted on 26 Mar 2016. This record counts entries from the Hot 100 era (since 4 August 1958) only. Elvis Presley, who has had 149 US singles chart entries in total since debuting with "Heartbreak Hotel" on 10 March 1956, has "just" 108 hits on the Hot 100 (i.e., he had 41 hits before the Hot 100's inception on 4 August 1958, including many of his rock 'n' roll classics such as "Hound Dog", "All Shook Up" and "Jailhouse Rock"). The cast of Glee (USA) remain well ahead of Lil Wayne for most Hot 100 entries overall, with 207 hits since 2009.
