According to Official Guinness Records,

The most soup served in 8 hours is to 12,695 people and was achieved by The Biggest Imoni Festival (Japan) in Yamagata, Yamagata, Japan, on 16 September 2018.Imoni is a soup made with taro, or satoimo, and other ingredients that often include soy sauce, sliced meat and vegetables. It is a popular dish in the Tohoku region. The Biggest Imoni Festival is held annually and serves every year more than 25,000 servings of the soup made in a large pot. This year the festival celebrated its 30th year and introduced a new, bigger pot whose diameter measured 6.5m.
