According to Official Guinness Records,
Musical comedy drama La La Land (USA, 2016) was nominated for seven Golden Globe awards and won in every one of its categories. The movie took the gongs for: Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy; Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture (Emma Stone); Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture (Ryan Gosling); Best Director – Motion Picture (Damien Chazelle); Best Screenplay – Motion Picture (Damien Chazelle); Best Original Score – Motion Picture (Justin Hurwitz); and Best Original Song – Motion Picture ("City of Stars" by Justin Hurwitz). This surpassed the record of five Golden Globes, which was first achieved by Doctor Zhivago (1965) and was subsequently equalled by four other films: Love Story (1970), The Godfather (1972), One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) and A Star is Born (1977).
