The most base hits in professional baseball games in a career is 4,257 by Ichiro Suzuki (Japan) playing for the Orix BlueWave, Seattle Mariners, New York Yankees and Miami Marlins from 1992 to 2016. Ichiro achieved his 4,257th hits at the Miami Marlins game against San Diego Padres in San Diego, California, USA, on 15 June 2016. The record number is a total combining his 2,979 MLB hits with his 1,278 hits in NPB.
