The longest time having kidney dialysis (haemodialysis) is 47 years 363 days, and was achieved by Jean-Pierre Gravel (Canada) in Montreal, Québec, Canada, as verified on 24 October 2017. Jean-Pierre Gravel began kidney dialysis in October 1969. His 47 years 363 days on dialysis beat the previous record of 42 years and 85 days.
