The largest knitted/crocheted stocking measures 712.54 m² (7,669.69 ft²) and was created by Caron (USA), unveiled in Fayetteville, North Carolina, USA, on 8 December 2015.The stocking measures 43.43 m x 22.71 m (142 ft 5 in x 74 ft 6 in) and was created from over 1,100 knitted and crocheted blankets which were sent in by people from all 50 US states, 4 Canadian provinces, and even one from Ireland. Caron encouraged customers to create their blankets using Caron United yarn, which donates 15 cents from each package purchase to Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation.
