The largest kakiage (mixed tempura) is 7.065 kg (15.57 lb) and was achieved by the Youth League of the Kambara City Society of Commerce and Industry (Japan), in Shizuoka, Shizuoka, Japan, on 18 March 2018.The kakiage (literally, mix and fry) used the local sakura-ebi (cherry blossom shrimps) and spring onions, a very seasonal recipe for early spring.
