According to Official Guinness Records,

The largest matchbox collection belongs to Steven Smith (UK) and consists of 20,736 matchboxes as of 6 September 2013, in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, UK.
Steven Smith also hold the record for the largest collection of matchbox labels, with 1,054,221 different matchbox labels from over 130 countries as of May 2011.
