The fastest marathon dressed as a monk is 2 hrs 43 min 06 sec, achieved by Andrew Heyden (Australia) at the 2018 Blackmores' Sydney Running Festival, in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, on 16 September 2018.During the marathon, multiple spectators knelt on the ground to pray as Andrew ran by on the course. Andrew is an elite runner sponsored by the state of New South Wales.
