Fastest hurdles 400 metres (male)

According to Official Guinness Records,

On 6 August 1992, Kevin Young (USA) won gold in the 400 m hurdles at the Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain, in a time of 46.78 seconds. In doing so, he beat Ed Moses’s mark of 47.02 seconds, which had stood since 1983. As of 2017, Young remains the only athlete to have broken 47 seconds in the event.
