The most words spelled backwards in one minute is 36 and was achieved by Krishna Pandey (Nepal) during a convention organised by the Association of Nepalese in America (ANA) at the Hilton Westchester in Rye Brook, New York, USA, on 4 July 2013.
40 words were read out during the one minute time period;36 were spelled correctly and 4 were spelled incorrectly.
