According to Official Guinness Records,

The most wins of the Ballon d'Or is 5 and was achieved by Lionel Messi (Argentina) at the 2015 FIFA Ballon d'Or gala, at the Kongresshaus, in Zurich, Switzerland, on 11 January 2016. Messi holds other Guinness World Records titles for "Youngest player to score 50 goals in the UEFA Champions League" and "Most football goals scored in a calendar year."
