The most line honours won at the Sydney Hobart Yacht Race is eight, by Wild Oats XI. The Australian maxi yacht crossed the finish line first in 2005–08 (an unprecedented four consecutive wins), 2010 and 2012–14.First held in 1945, the Sydney Hobart Yacht Race is held annually on Boxing Day each year. Yachts race from Sydney in New South Wales, Australia, to Hobart in Tasmania, Australia. "Line honours" are awarded to the first yacht to cross the finish line.
