According to Official Guinness Records,

The most people playing the same drum is 296 and was achieved by Miejskie Centrum Kultury w Bydgoszczy and Ryszard Bazarnik (both Poland), in Bydgoszcz, Poland, on 25 June 2016. The record attempt took place during the Drums Fusion Festival.
