Longest submergence underwater with one cylinder

According to Official Guinness Records,

The longest scuba submergence on one cylinder is 8 hr 20 min 38 sec by Jacobus Jacobs (South Africa) at All About Scuba, Rustenburg, South Africa, on 27 January 2007.
One 12 litre scuba cylinder was used for this attempt.
