The longest running weekly factual radio programme is 68 years old and was achieved by Voci del Grigioni italiano, a regional news magazine programme, broadcast on Rete Uno, in Chur, Switzerland that has been running in its current format since 25 November 1941 until 10 April 2009. The programme actually began on 28 October 1939 but was only a 15 minute slot and was called Il Quarto d'ora del Girgioni italiano. The current programme broadcasts for 30 minutes from 7pm to 7.30pm. The main audience are the Italian-speaking minority of Switzerland's Graubunden Canton. Since the 1980s the programme has had a permanent correspondent in Chur, the Canton's chief town. The current permanent correspondent is Alessandro Tini who incidentally made the claim for this record.
