The longest aircraft (current) is Airlander 10 at 92 m (301 ft 10 in) long. The aircraft was built by Hybrid Air Vehicles (UK) and its first flight was completed at Cardington Airfield in Bedfordshire, UK, on 17 August 2016.Airlander 10 is 43.6 m (143 ft 0 in) wide and 26.0 m (85 ft 3 in) high. Despite appearances, it is not a traditional airship - it is a hybrid of an airship and an aeroplane. The hull is filled with helium, which generates around 60% of Airlander 10's lift. The remaining lift is created from the aerodynamic shape of the craft. Airlander 10 is designed to fly without landing for up to five days at a time, at altitudes of up to 4,900 m (16,076 ft 1 in), and with a cruising speed of up to 148 km/h (79.9 knots). Although commonly referred to as Airlander 10, the aircraft has been officially named the Martha Gwyn.
