Largest hand knitted blanket (non crochet)

According to Official Guinness Records,

The largest hand knitted blanket (non crochet) is 1,994.81 m² (21,471.95 ft²) and was achieved by Valery Larkin (Ireland) and Knitters of the World in Ennis, Ireland, verified on 26 August 2018.Over 1,000 knitters contributed to the blanket. The majority of the knitters were based in Ireland but contributions came from UK, Turkey, Germany, Finland, Bulgaria, Sweden, Greece, Hungary, Portugal, Switzerland, Malta, Belgium, USA, South America, Canada, South Africa, Singapore, Japan, New Zealand and Australia.After the attempt was completed the blanket was divided up into smaller blankets and all were donated to the Red Cross.
