According to Official Guinness Records,

The largest gathering of people dressed as trees and is 1,000 and was achieved by Sant Shri Arihant Rishiji and Jayam Ideal Youth Organisation (both India), in Mumbai, India, on 1 March 2015. The event was organised for the launch of the Jayam Ideal Youth Organisation.
