The largest cup percussion ensemble consists of 2,398 participants and was achieved by Du Tianlu (China) in Xi'an, Shaanxi, China, on 21 May 2017.The cup percussion performed the rhythm of a song ("Pursuing") which was composed and sung by the record holder, lasting for 6 minutes and 5 seconds'. The record was achieved on their second attempt.
