According to Official Guinness Records,

The largest cotton bud / swab is 7.29 m (23 ft 11 in) long and was achieved by Glasgow Marrow (UK) in Glasgow, UK, on 27 August 2018.The Glasgow Marrow committee decided to break this record in order to raise awareness of the Anthony Nolan stem cell register, and the need for more donors to join the register. The cotton tip is 0.59 m (1 ft 11 in) in length and 0.1 m (4 in) in diameter
