According to Official Guinness Records,

This record is for the greatest differential in speed between the thrower and catcher of the pass of a rugby ball.This record is measured in km/h, with the equivalent measurement given in mph.This record is to be attempted by a pair.For the purposes of the record, speed differential is defined as the difference in velocity along the same axis. Velocities in opposing directions are treated summed together to determine the difference.
