According to Official Guinness Records,

The largest lottery jackpot is $1,586,400,000 (€1,463,600,000, £1,098,200,000), won in the Multi-State Lottery Association's (USA) Powerball, by 3 individuals throughout USA, on 13 January 2016. The preceding 19 lottery draws had no winners, causing the jackpot to accrue to such large sums.
