According to Official Guinness Records,
In 2005 Sharp Corporation (Japan) revealed the first LCD screen that could display different information depending on the angle you look at it from. It was created using a number of technologies including a parallax barrier on the TFT LCD screen., which allows the LCD to send out light in left and right directions. This technology allows a dashboard-mounted screen to display a movie to a car’s passenger, while displaying GPS data to the driver. In September 2008 Sharp announced it had also created a three way viewing angle LCD screen.
