First gender testing at a Summer Olympic Games

According to Official Guinness Records,

Athletes were subjected to gender testing at the 1968 summer Olympic Games
in Mexico City, Mexico, the first time this had taken place at a summer
Games.
Gender testing had been introduced to the Olympics at the winter Games
staged in Grenoble, France, in February 1968.
