According to Official Guinness Records,

The fastest time to cycle trans-Australia is 7 days 19 hr 5 min by Guido Kunze (Germany) from Sydney, New South Wales, to Perth, Western Australia, from 13-20 October 2009. He rode along Highway 1 hugging the southern Australian coast.
