Fastest North Sea crossing by double sea kayak (Canoeing)

According to Official Guinness Records,

The fastest crossing of the North Sea in a double kayak is 17 hr 53 min and was achieved by Simon Worsley and Ian Castro (United Kingdom) who completed the Southwold to Zeebrugge route, on 4 July 2009.
Simon Worsley was the previous record holder in this event in 1997. Ian Castro and Simon Worsley also both share the record for the single sea kayak crossing of the North Sea.
