According to Official Guinness Records,

The fastest marathon in film character costume (male) is 2 hr 36 min 28 sec and was achieved by Rob Pope (UK) at the Virgin Money London Marathon, in London, UK, on 22 April 2018.Rob ran dressed as Forrest Gump and was the first record breaker at this year's marathon. This was the eleventh year that Guinness World Records has partnered with the London Marathon.
