Fastest flight across the Atlantic in a commercial aircraft

According to Official Guinness Records,

British Airways Concorde took 2 hrs 52 mins 59 secs to travel the 6,035 km (3,750 miles) between New York (JFK airport) and London (Heathrow) on 7 February 1996, breaking its own record set in April 1990 by one and a half minutes. The plane, piloted by Captain Leslie Scott (UK), averaged over 2,011 km/h (1,250 mph).
