Total lunar eclipse on January 31 2018 (Romania)

You can read the table above as follows: On January 31, 2018 in Bucharest, Europe/Bucharest (UTC 2), an total lunar eclipse will start at 12:51, the maximum eclipse will occur at 15:30 when the Moon reaches an altitud of -17°;this event will come to an end at 18:08 and will have a penumbral magnitud of 2.294 (this is the fraction of the Moon obscured by the entrance to The Earth's penumbra) and an umbral magnitud of 1.315 (fraction of the Moon obscured by the umbra of The Earth).

We must take into account the altitude of the moon, for example, in Bucharest, due to the low altitude of the Moon (-17 degrees) this lunar eclipse will not be very obvious.
