US Holiday On May 19 2017?

National Defense Transportation Day:
[fed-ob][pro] The President is requested to issue each year a proclamation— (1) designating the third Friday in May as National Defense Transportation Day;and (2) urging the people of the United States, including labor, management, users, and investors, in all communities served by the various forms of transportation to observe National Defense Transportation Day by appropriate ceremonies that will give complete recognition to the importance to each community and its people of the transportation system of the United States and the maintenance of the facilities of the system in the most modern state of adequacy to serve the needs of the United States in times of peace and in national defense. National Defense Transportation Week:
[fed-ob][pro] The entire week on which the National Defense Transportation Day falls is observed as the National Transportation Week (NTW). It provides an opportunity for Americans to join together for greater awareness and appreciation of the transportation industry. Also, it celebrates the community of transportation professionals who keep our country on the move. National Police Week - Day 6:
[pro] This year National Police Week starts on Sunday, May 14 2017 and ends on Saturday, May 20 2017. The President is requested to issue each year a proclamation— (1) designating the week in which May 15 occurs as Police Week in recognition of the service given by men and women who stand guard to protect the people of the United States through law enforcement;and (2) inviting State and local governments and the people of the United States to observe Police Week with appropriate ceremonies and activities, including the display of the flag at halfstaff. According to the Presidential Proclamation (2015), Each May, our Nation salutes the American women and men who put their lives on the line every day to maintain public safety and hold accountable those who break the law. On Peace Officers Memorial Day and during Police Week, we recognize all those who have dedicated their lives to this vital task. With heavy hearts, we mourn the heroes taken from us only because they chose to serve, and we rededicate ourselves to carrying forward their noble legacy.
National Women's Health Week - Day 6:
[pro] This week is a reminder to women to take care of themselves, and to make their health a priority. During this week organizations promote awareness, prevention, and educational activities that improve the health of women. According to the Presidential Proclamation (2015), During National Women's Health Week, we reaffirm the belief that ensuring all women and girls have the opportunity to live full and healthy lives is vital to their success and to the prosperity of our Nation.
Armed Forces Week - Day 7:
A week-long tribute to the nation’s Armed Forces. National Asian & Pacific Islander HIV/AIDS Awareness Day:
[nhas] May 19 is National Asian and Pacific Islander (API) HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, a national campaign to end the silence and shame surrounding HIV/AIDS in Asian and Pacific Islander communities. The Banyan Tree Project takes the lead role in organizing activities and promoting this day. Hepatitis Testing Day:
[nhas] This year marks the 6th annual observance of Hepatitis Testing Day. Establishment of this national health awareness day on May 19 was called for in the Action Plan for the Prevention, Care and Treatment of Viral Hepatitis as part of efforts to decrease health disparities by raising greater public and health care provider awareness, particularly among those populations most affected by hepatitis B and C infection. Hepatitis Testing Day falls during May’s observance of Hepatitis Awareness Month in the United States.
