• Washington's Birthday:

This date is commonly called Presidents' Day and many groups honor the legacy of past presidents on this date.

For these Federal employees, when a holiday falls on a nonworkday, that is to say, Saturday or Sunday, then, the holiday usually is observed on Monday (in case the holiday falls on Sunday) or Friday (in case the holiday falls on Saturday).

^[al] This is an official holiday in the State of Alabama. In Alabama, Saturday holidays are observed on Fridays and Sunday holidays are observed on Mondays.
