US Holiday On April 15 2025?

The following is a compilation of American federal holidays, federal observances, state holidays and other common patriotic and national observances and commemorations that apply to the United States during Tuesday, 2025-04-15:

  • Pan American Week - Day 3:

[pro] The entire week on which the Pan American Day falls is observed as Pan American Week.
  • National Volunteer Week - Day 3:

[pro] The second week of April each year is designated as National Volunteer Week. This week serves as a means to promote and show appreciation for volunteerism in the United States. Communities across the United States have celebrated National Volunteer Week since 1974, when President Nixon signed an executive order establishing the second week of April as an annual celebration of volunteering. Since then, every U.S. president has signed a proclamation promoting National Volunteer Week. According to the presidential proclamation (2016),
Each day, humble people of every background and belief come together to fulfill the timeless responsibility we have as Americans: to accept certain obligations to one another. People of all ages can volunteer, and anyone can, through the smallest of acts, do their part to improve the lives of others. This week, we celebrate the selfless individuals around our country who channel their civic virtues through volunteerism, and we encourage more people to make service an integral part of their lives.
  • Tax Day:

[other] In the United States, Tax Day is a colloquial term for the day on which individual income tax returns are due to the federal government. Since 1955, for those living in the United States, Tax Day has typically fallen on April 15. For those filing a U.S. tax return but living outside the United States and Puerto Rico, Tax Day has typically fallen on June 15, due to the two-month automatic extension granted to filers by IRS Publication 54.
  • Child Care Worker Appreciation Week in Ohio:

[oh-sp] The week of the nineteenth day of April shall be designated as "Child Care Worker Appreciation Week in Ohio," to commemorate those child care workers who lost their lives in the bombing of the Oklahoma City federal building on April 19, 1995, and to increase public appreciation of child care workers in Ohio. As used in this section, "the week of the nineteenth day of April" means the seven-day period beginning on Sunday and ending on Saturday that includes the nineteenth day of April.

Notes:

[pro] This is a special day designated by presidential proclamation.

[other] This is a religious, traditional, or informal observance celebrated in the United States.

[oh-sp] This is a special day, week or month by Statutory Designation in the State of Ohio.
