International Days August 29 2025 (United Nations)

The following is an overview of the days and the corresponding celebration declared by the United Nations that apply to Friday, 2025-08-29:

• International Day against Nuclear Tests:

  Recognizing that the nuclear tests left lingering effects for local populations; the damage caused to the environment is irreversible; and the nuclear arms race is threatening millions of innocent lives, the General Assembly of the United Nations, with the goal of ending nuclear testing to create a safer world, proclaimed 29 August as the International Day against Nuclear Tests.
