  Held in honor of the doctor and journalist João Batista Badaró Libero, murdered in São Paulo on April 7, 1830 during a student march supporting libertarian ideals of the French Revolution. On the same day but in 1908 was created by Gustavo de Lacerda the Brazilian Press Association.
